Fine Art Printing - Hands On (Sat & Sun Weekend)
Dates: April 2018 (dates tba)
Location: Banded Rock Studios, Ladner BC
Join me for this two-day intensive workshop focused on the art and craft of fine art digital printmaking. While we will cover every aspect of printing from capture to handling of prints, this workshop is designed to take the complexity and frustration out of printing.
It is designed for anyone who wants to develop a strong foundation in all aspects of digital printing. If you want to perfect the ability to consistently produce prints you are proud of and that reflect your vision, this class is for you. A good general knowledge of Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and a laptop computer are highly recommended. Note: This class is NOT meant as an in-depth Post Processing class. Printer Calibration and RIP Technologies will not be covered.
Limited to just 6 students, the first day (half of) the workshop focuses on teaching you important concepts and techniques of modern printmaking. On the second day (in the second half) you will put it all into practice with two of your images. We’ll work on making your images come to life, from processing to final print, and transform your own digital files into something you can hold and touch, something to be proud of.
Printing your own work is a rewarding experience that adds to your creative potential. You will learn how to craft an expressive print that conveys your vision as a photographer and visual artist whether you’re just getting started with a new printer or just want to take your printing skills to the next level.
